Taxus baccata globe, 6LYew, or Taxus baccata, is a large evergreen shrub often seen growing in churchyards but is more often used as hedging in the garden. The flowers are insignificant, but fleshy red berries appear on female plants in autumn and provide food for birds. All parts of the yew tree are poisonous if ingested.
